Michael J. Stack III is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate who has represented the 5th District since 2000. His grandfather, the first Michael J. Stack, was a United States Congressman from 1935 to 1939.

In 2002, he was named to the PoliticsPA list of Best Dressed Legislators.[1]
